1. The Corn Maze at the Botanic Gardens in Denver.
At the Botanic Gardens at their Chatfield location, you can explore an 8 acre corn maze. There are 2 viewing points so you can see how everyone is doing, there is a labyrinth in the middle, and there is even a miniature corn maze for the little kids. There are also pony rides and Hayrides offered at an extra cost along with food vendors to choose some great treats at. 2.Trick or Treat Train. Head on over to the Colorado Railroad Museum and hop aboard the Trick or Treat train! The train departs every 30 minutes on Saturday and Sunday Oct 26th and 27th starting at 9 am and finishing at 5 pm. The conductors and Engineers will host the ride in full costume for your enjoyment. Their Halloween town is a great safe place to take the kids to get treats and pictures! 3.Fright Fest at Elitch Gardens. The Fright Fest at Elitch Gardens has lots of great spooky attractions to choose from, and there is something for everyone, every age! This coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday Oct. 25th, 26th and 27th there are many events going on Elitche’s, from Haunted Houses, to Costume Contests, to Scream contests for the kids. 4.Boo at the Zoo. The Denver Zoo will hosting their annual Boo at the Zoo this weekend, Oct 26th and 27th. All of the Halloween activities are free with zoo admission. They will have 25 trick or treat stations set up along with some creep crawly animal demonstrations and other great family friendly activities. 5.Trick or Treat Street at the Children’s Museum. The Children’s Museum of Denver hosts the Trick or Treat Street, particularly for smaller children. Bring your kids in their costumes to this all day event at the Museum. ( No scary costumes as it is for the younger ones). Your children will get parade from one treat house to the house and collect treats and crafts. There is story time by some of their favorite characters and a mini train ride.
